Local Rulers
Jarl Ingvar Rothritter: He holds the lands around Visby and has many relations already in ruling positions on the island. His lands include several settlements. He has very limited power in the city of Visby, as the merchant community has control of most of it. He has a local Thing and is in charge of the islands All-Thing. Though his strength in Visby is not strong he still has control of most of the farms directly around the city. This allows him to make his policies heard. He has constructed many small christian parishes and has influenced many other to begin the constuction of churches in their territory.
Landsmathr Jorden Bixby:
He gained control of these lands from Jarl Rothritter almost ten years ago. His uncle Bodvar Bixby was recently murdered by his own brother Jorg Bixby, Jordan’s father. Jorden has a serious temper and has several soldiers to back his aggression. He has the largest Hird in the northern territories, almost 50 soldiers. He recently acquired the lands to the south after the previous ruler, Tore Hekker passed away due to old age. The people of Bjorke are saddened deeply by the loss of their former ruler, but have been very inviting to Jorden and his soldiers. Most of the land is covered in pine forests and large meadows.

Gregor is a just man who still follows the old ways. He believes strongly in honor, loyalty, and courage. He is in charge of the local Thing, which includes the lands of Jorden, Rutger, Bensen and Rolf. The lands to the north were newly appointed to him after the disappearance of the previous lord Adder Pel. Gregor is unaware that Adder's son, Adam, is still alive and living at Sternwarte. Adam is the rightful heir and was born with the gift. Gregor has rejected the notion of constructing a Christian church in Farosund, but before Adder disappeared he constructed one in Bond. His lands have many meadows, which are ideal for raising sheep, and some large patches of pine. The coast has many rocky cliffs some of which are nearly eighty feet high.

He however refuses to have one constructed in Slite. At the rate he is going he will not be in power much longer.

He currently owes fealty to no one. The island is fairly flat and covered with dense pine forest and a few large meadows. The coast line has mainly white sandy beaches, but there is an occasional white limestone beaches with large rock formations carved by the sea. (pop. 200)
